Clinical Assistant

The Clinical Assistant course is an integral part of the Medical Assistant program and is designed to develop essential hands-on clinical skills, including Phlebotomy, EKG/ECG, Injections, Vital Signs, Urinalysis, and Physical Exam Assisting. All training is conducted in a realistic clinical environment equipped with industry-standard equipment and medical supplies.

Upon completion, students are expected to demonstrate their skills during the clinical skills final exam and pass a comprehensive two part final including a physical test and an oral test.

This is a clinical skill–building course and is not open to the public. It may be offered as a stand-alone course for credentialed medical professionals seeking additional skill development

Requirements:

Course Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to read and write English.

Must sign a consent form to participate in clinical exercises.
