A combination of clinical assistant and medical billing and coding programs with a Comprehensive clinical internship .

The Clinical Assistant course is designed to acquaint the participants with The essentials of Laboratory Procedures as well as gain hands-on proficiency in Phlebotomy, EKG, Injections, Vital Signs, Urinalysis and Physical Exam Assisting.

An intensive, hands-on course specializing in medical terminology, Human anatomy and CPT/ ICD-9 billing .

Total Course Length

8 to 16 weeks plus 160-hour internship

   

Price

$2400.00 plus $100 for Books, $60 Uniform and Medical Kit, and $170 prorated fee for graduation required courses and CPR.

Internship Requirements

A clear CORI report is required. Current vaccinations per industry standards and site requirements. Valid CPR Card and a Completed Resume.

 

Graduation Requirements:

Successful completion of the course and final examination. Successful completion of the clinical internship in full compliance with professional standards set forth by the healthcare facility.

Medical Office Orientation course $250
Each Student is required to participate in this hands-on computer based program designed to introduce the student to various aspects of computerized medical office procedures. 

Career Development Training course $250
Each student must participate in this highly informative seminar style program geared towards the development of career enhancing skills such as resume preparation, interview preparation and coaching, OSHA Blood-borne pathogen training, HIPAA patient privacy and other related topics.

CPR course Price varies by vendor.
Each student must complete this training program and qualify to receive a CPR card. Current CPR card holders are exempt.

Students have to consent to have their blood samples and EKG's acquired by other students under supervision.
