Dental Assistant

An intensive 8 week course of study specializing inpractical skill development in the field of General Dentistry,that will be spent in a classroom / dental operatory setting acquiring the necessary didactic knowledge as well as developing primary dental assisting skills.

Following the initial training, the participant will be required to complete a comprehensive clinical internship totaling 320 clinical hours within a dental practice.While out on internship phase, the student will be required to comply with all the rules and regulationsof the dental practice as well as the code of conduct attributable to the field of dental assisting.

8 weeks plus a 320-hour internship

$1690.00 plus $100 for books.
This price does not reflect the cost of dental radiology certification or the courses required for graduation listed below. Applicants with transferable skills and applicable healthcare may be exempt from these courses.

Entrance Requirements:

Each eligible candidate must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent,
demonstrate professional behavior and positive attitude during the Admissions
Interview as well as take a Basic English Language and Computer Proficiency Test.
Candidates scoring low on the proficiency tests will be required to attend English and
Computer training at the institute.

Graduation Requirements:

Successful completion of the course and final examination. Successful completion of the clinical internship in full compliance with professional standards set forth by the dental profession and the ADA.

Medical Office Orientation course $250
Each Student is required to participate in this hands-on computer based program designed to introduce the student to various aspects of computerized medical office procedures. 

Career Development Training course $250
Each student must participate in this highly informative seminar style program geared towards the development of career enhancing skills such as resume preparation, interview preparation and coaching, OSHA Blood-borne pathogen training, HIPAA patient privacy and other related topics.

CPR course Price varies by vendor.
Each student must complete this training program and qualify to receive a CPR card. Current CPR card holders are exempt.
