The Clinical Assistant course is designed to acquaint the participants with the essentials of Laboratory Procedures as well as gain hands-on proficiency in Phlebotomy, EKG, Injections, Vital Signs, Urinalysis and Physical Exam Assisting.

The Following topics will be covered:

 

  • Safety Procedures
  • Phlebotomy practice in a healthcare setting
  • EKG essentials
  • Infection control
  • Specimen handling
  • Blood collection equipment
  • Throat Culture
  • Complications in blood collection
  • Urinalysis
  • General Physical Examination
  • General Gyn Procedures

 

Total Course Length: 8 to 11 weeks
   
Price: $950.00 Does Not Include the Medical Kit and Scrubs $70 and The Graduation Required Course $250
   
Program Prerequisites: English Language Proficiency
Legal Residency / Student Status
Students have to consent to have their blood samples and EKG's acquired by other students under supervision.

Graduation Requirements: Medical Office Orientation course
Each Student is required to participate in this hands-on computer based program designed to introduce the student to various aspects of computerized medical office procedures.

 

Schedule:
Day and Evening classes are available. Classes meet once a week.
Enrollments are ongoing with start dates every 2 weeks. Please call for details.
