CPR Certification: an Invaluable Skill That Lasts a Lifetime

Almost everyone has seen a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, in progress during their lifetime. Whether experiencing it first-hand or seeing it in a television show or movie, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation can be a nerve-wracking experience. A resuscitation is typically performed on a person who has undergone cardiac arrest or is otherwise having extreme difficulty breathing.

The CPR rescuer performs manual resuscitation in an attempt to restore normal breathing and blood circulation. Such is done by chest compressions on the person who is in cardiac arrest. This may be supplemented by the CPR rescuer exhaling into the patient’s mouth – the traditional method – or using a device that inserts air into the patient’s lungs.

Boston Career Institute offers a comprehensive Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification course for students of all abilities and experience. By earning your CPR certification, you will be able to work in an industry in which CPR certification is a requirement. Furthermore, you will also be able to perform your civic duty by performing CPR on friends, family and even complete strangers.

BCI is also proud to offer community CPR courses through the American Heart Association, allowing everyday people to earn their certification. Being CPR-certified affords rescuers the ability to jump in and potentially save someone’s life. You simply never know when and where being CPR-certified will come in handy. Thus, the earlier in life you earn your certification, the better!

All of BCI’s CPR certification courses fully prepare students for real life situations. Students perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation on test subjects, which provides them with the experience and know-how needed to act quickly, intelligently and effectively. All of BCI’s CPR students must not only meet the certification requirements, but also demonstrate that they are 100% prepared to perform a proper resuscitation.
